Environmental Skills Technical Employment Coach Contract position:
24 hours/week Position
Summary:
The Employment Coach develops and maintains relationships with employer partners, construction and building trades unions.
The Employment Coach serves in an ambassador role, both externally with employers, and within Open Opportunities, Inc.
specifically the Future Build Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program.
Reports to the Executive Director/Program Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
This person should contribute substantially to the following outcomes:
Job placements in the fields of training, solar, alternative energy, union trades, construction, hazardous materials and emergency preparedness, forklift and refinery jobs.
The Employment Specialist works with develops relationships with established and strives to create new clients, hiring partners, externship opportunities, donations, and volunteers that can lead to employment for the Future Build Pre-Apprentice Training Program grads.
Detailed Responsibilities Employer Outreach:
Arranging meetings with potential employer partners Working with staff to incorporate employer feedback into the training program Working with the board and staff to develop appropriate marketing materials for all employer offerings Using established policy and procedures and other software to track opportunities and outcomes Attending Chamber and other community events Developing Employer Councils Scheduling employability workshops for trainees and potential employers Job Type:
