Reporting to our Lead Brewer, this position will be responsible for all aspects of brewing, cellaring, packaging beer, and general operations - at our brewery in Pittsburg, CA.
It's a fun, fast-paced role that will have a real impact on the future success of Headlands.
RESPONSIBILITIES End-to-end beer production and packaging at our East Bay brewery Perform CIP/SIP of fermentors, brite tanks, beer lines, process loops, cellar data collection, etc.
Operations support; keg cleaning, spent grain loading, trash, order picking Cellar measurements and log tracking including but not limited to:
gravity, pH, temperature Accurate data entry into our MRP system (EKOS) for production, financial, and compliance tracking Occasional support at events at our Lafayette location, as well as off-site beer festivals and other similar events Occasional support of repairs & maintenance and facility improvement projects Support and maintain a clean and tidy facility through best practices and end of day housekeeping tasks REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS Passion for brewing fantastic craft beer and for helping a small brewery grow to the next level At least 2 years of professional brewing experience; including cellar work and wort production Excellent knowledge of brewing, cleaning & sanitation, and packaging beers Able to consistently work efficiently and safely Strong attention to detail Valid driver's license Ability to lift 55
lbs multiple times regularly Ability to commit to putting in hours occasionally at beer events Forklift operator experience a plus Mechanical, repairs & maintenance ability or experience a plus COMPENSATION Full time hourly position, compensation depends on experience, $23-$28/hr Benefits - health, dental, 401(k) including company match, PTO, paid holidays, beer.
